On Saturday, March 23, the “Drag Queen Story Hour” that was planned to be held in the Lancaster City Library was abruptly canceled when a fake bomb threat was received. Lancaster Pride, the volunteer organization that sponsored the story hour, were quoted as saying, “While we support the freedom of speech: we stand firm and cannot and we will not let hate, fear, and intimidation stop our collective movement for love and support for all.”
Now, coincidentally, 500 miles north in Reading, Massachusetts, on the very same day, at a similar Pride story time event being held at a Public Library, this event was also canceled after a similar fake bomb threat was received.
False bomb threats are federal crimes and carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison. Whoever did this, should be detained and prosecuted. Terroristic threats should never be tolerated in a civil society.
What’s curious to me is that in our seemingly “surveillance state” everything can be monitored and tracked, phone records permanently stored, and the footprints of our IP addresses are easily traced. Any yet nobody has yet to have been found. Maybe they will, maybe it’s just a matter of time. But what if they aren’t? What if this story just runs its typical “drive-by” news cycle and then suddenly disappears?
The national news media has been salivating over this narrative..
“Christian protestors are hate-filled monsters who incite violence against peaceful people who love.” That may not be the exact narrative, but the sentiment seems to certainly be there.
Regardless of media regurgitations or who the identity of the “secret bombers” actually are, the unraveling scenario of Saturday’s coincidental events, serves the “Drag Queen Story hour” and the further indoctrination and confusion of young minds in two separate ways:
- Those protesting on the basis of the concrete moral idea that it is evil for grown adults to use “story time” to confuse and create chaos in young minds as it pertains to gender and sexual identities gets completely flipped upside down. These people, their media outlets and their political pawns seize the “moral high ground” and point to this “bomb threat” as the identity of all those who protest or disagree. They label and castigate all those who oppose them as hate-filled, violent extremists.
- They also point to any verbal or written dissent, regardless of how peaceful and respectful it is, as a possible inspiration to extremists who are pushed into violent action.
The mission here seems to be to silence all those who oppose. The clear message to those in opposition is to sit down, shut your mouth, turn your head and give us your children’s minds to reshape and manipulate. This whole premise seems completely demonic and destructive, in my humble opinion.
Maybe there are fringe radical, crazy people in every segment of society. I mean, everytime that I do my last minute Christmas shopping at Park City, due to the vastness of the crowds, I have to wonder if there isn’t at least one axe-murderer wandering about.
Perhaps the ugly truth is that there is an evil hierarchy of power behind the destruction of the family unit and the attempted moral degradation of our society. Maybe those of us opposing these overtly immoral actions are unwittingly attempting to play checkers on a chess board.
Regardless of the ground we win or lose, I take great comfort in the fact that God is completely sovereign, His plan will eventually unfold on earth as it is in heaven.
His justice will prevail.
